My name is Daisy McNamara. I’m a freelance audio fiction producer.

In 2023, I was unfortunate enough to acquire a stalker.

This person went to extreme lengths to hurt me. She contacted my main employer to try and get me fired, sent me hundreds of aggressive, emails, sent threatening mail to my friends, cyberstalked me, posted endlessly about me online (including dead naming and misgendering), lied about me to colleagues and clients to prevent me from getting work, and more.

In 2024, I was awarded a restraining order against her. In 2025, after my stalker made threats to continue her harassment after the order expired, I went back to court to get it renewed.

Luckily, I was awarded the renewal and will now be protected until 2026.

Unluckily, the case took far longer than anticipated and the bill for my lawyer is very expensive. I have already paid a portion of the fees in August, but received the invoice for September recently.

The amount I need to pay is $5,646 dollars.

I, as a disabled freelance artist, am quaking in my boots trying to decide how much overtime I’ll need to pull for the next six months to even think about paying it off. It’s far more than we had anticipated or were prepared for.

I’ve put as much as I can from my own savings into it, and still need $3,000 to pay the invoice in full.

Any additional money raised beyond $3,000 will go to restoring my savings that I had to use to pay this off. It’s a lean time, and being able to soften that blow would be a blessing.

My friends have been generous enough to help me with creating this go fund me. Any amount helps. I know the world is crazy and everyone is struggling right now, but if you happen to have a little extra you can spare to help someone out, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you.
