I am currently a student at Fayetteville State University. When attempting to register for classes for the upcoming semester, which begins next week, I was informed of a $3500 outstanding balance from my first semester.
I was unaware of this balance because during the first semester the financial aid person I was working with did not advise me of all the programs I was eligible for, but I was able to get registered and thought the tuition was taken care of.
Second semester: I registered and worked with a different financial aid person, who was able to inform me of all the programs that apply to me. I still was not informed that I had an outstanding balance from the first semester.
I am an out-of-state student, so there are many programs that are not available to me. I don't have $3,500, so I am hoping that with the help of my friends and family, I can raise enough money so that I can continue my college education. This would be a huge setback if I am unable to continue with college.
I appreciate any amount you can donate. You all are helping me achieve my goal of being a college graduate.
