በመላው ዓለም የምትገኙ ኢትዮጵያዊን እና ኤርትራዊያን የኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ እምነት ተከታዮች በሙሉ። የዳግሚት ደብረሊባኖስ ጻድቁ አቡነ ተክለ ሃይማኖት ቤተ ክርስቲያን በ ግንቦት ወር 2006 ዓ.ም  በኬምብሪጅ ከተማ በኒውዮርክ እና አካባቢው አሕጉረ ስብከት ሊቀጳጳስ በብጹእ አቡነ ዘካርያስ ተባርኮ አገልግሎት መስጠት ከጀመረበት ጊዜ አንስቶ በቦስተን እና አካባቢው ላሉ ምእመናን መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎት እየሰጠ ይገኛል። ቤተ ክርስቲያኑ በአሁኑ ሰአት አገልግሎት እየሰጠበት ያለው ህንፃ በኪራይ ከካቶሊካዊት ቤተ ክርስቲያን የተገኘ ሲሆን አገልግሎቱ የሚሰጠውም በታችኛው ወለል (basement) ላይ ሲሆን የአገልግሎት ሰዓቱም በጠዋት ተጀምሮ በ9:30 AM ይጠናቀቃል። በዚህም የተነሳ የተሟላ አገልግሎት ለመስጠት እና ልጆቻችንን ሃይማኖታቸውን፣ ባህላቸውን እና ክርስቲያናዊ ምግባርን በበቂ ሁኔታ ለማስተማር እንዳንችል ሆነናል። ታቦተ ህጉ የራሱ የሆነ ማሳረፊያ ባለመኖሩ አባቶች ዘወትር በጭንቀት ሆነው እንዲያገለግሉ ሆነዋል እነዚህን እና ብዙ ያልተዘረዘሩ መጠነ ሰፊ ችግሮችን ለመፍታት የህንፃ ቤተ ክርስቲያን መግዛት አማራጭ የሌለው መፍትሔ መሆኑን በመረዳት የሕንፃ ግዥ ኮሚቴ ተቋቁሞ ታላቅ እንቅስቃሴ ሲደርግ ቆይቷል። በአለንበት ከተማ እና አካባቢው ያለው የህንፃ ዋጋ እጅግ ውድ በመሆኑ የተነሳ ምንም ያህል ጊዜ  የገንዘብ ማሰባሰቢያ መርሐግብር ብናዘጋጅም የመግዛት አቅማችን ሊያሳድግልን አልቻለም። በእዚህም ምክንያት የእናንተን የኦርቶኦክስ ተዋህዶ እምነት ተከታዮችን እገዛችሁን በእዚህ ሁኔታ ለመጠይቅ ተገደናል። በአሁኑ ሰዓት የእግዚአብሔር ፈቃድ ሆኖ የህንፃ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ግዥ ለመፈፀም በሂደት ላይ እንገኛለን። የግዥው ሁኔታ ከሻጮች ጋር ስምምነት ላይ ተደርሶ ውል በመፈራረም ሂደት ላይ ብንገኝም ዋናው ነገር እና ከባንክ ብድር ጋር የተገናኘው ግን ከፊታችን እየጠበቀን ይገኛል። ስለሆነም ይህ የተጀመረው የግዥ ሂደት ፈተና ሳይገጥመው ይጠናቀቅ ዘንድ ሁላችሁም በዓለም ላይ ያላችሁ የተዋህዶ ልጆች አነሰ በዛ ሳትሉ ያቅማችሁን እንድትረዱን በጻድቁ አባታችን አቡነ ተክለ ሃይማኖት ስም ጥሪያችንን እናቀርባለን።

Dagmit Debrelibanos St. Teklehaimanot Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church was established in 2014. Our church is part of the New York EOTC Archdiocese and Ethiopian Synod. Since its inception, the church has provided spiritual guidance, worship, social and communal support, and cultural celebration and reaffirmation. The church also teaches children and the youth, the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Ethiopian language, and the traditions of our Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Most importantly, the church is the backbone for the formation of brotherhood and sisterhood between its members in the Boston area.

Our congregation has been growing steadily over the past few years. Currently, we share a church building owned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Greater Boston area. Due to restrictions put on by the owners, who also actively use it, we are unable to fully use the church to carry out the liturgical services. We use the church for about four hours per week. One of the major shortcomings from this arrangement is that we are not able to properly educate our children and youth to help them become spiritually and morally mature human beings. In addition, this arrangement has made it difficult to reach out to the Greater Boston area community to show/teach the rich history of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church that has existed since the beginning of Christianity.

Dagmit Debrelibanos St. Teklehaimanot church is primarily run by donations from its members, who have significantly contributed to buy a church building. However, the money we’ve raised over the past few years is not enough to purchase a church building in the greater Boston area. Church buildings on sale in the greater Boston area are very expensive and are unthinkable to purchase one. However, the church had established a team to do a feasibility study and come up with a proposal as to how and where we would consider buying a church building. Based on this, very recently we have found a magnificent church building and are in the middle of the buying process. To support this cause, we hope to raise enough money to cover the down payment and some administrative expenses. Anything you can give, no matter how small, would make a big difference for us.
