Daeshanea is the oldest of 12 siblings and has devoted her entire life to helping her family. Even as a child, she would go home after school to care for her younger brothers and sisters, changing diapers, feeding them, and making sure everyone was safe. Despite these responsibilities, she always managed to complete her homework and excel in her studies. Her determination and resilience were clear from a young age, and it was an honor to be her teacher in second grade.
After many years apart, I recently reunited with Daeshanea and was amazed to see how her drive and compassion have only grown. She graduated high school, taking additional AP classes her senior year, and is now studying online to earn degrees in both nursing and teaching autistic children. She works full time at a shop, saving every dollar she can, but the cost of food and rent is high, and she does not have a car, which makes life even more challenging.
Daeshanea is now 20 years old and determined to graduate college and build a future where she can give back to others. Any funds raised will go directly toward her tuition, rent, and a car—essentials that will help her achieve her dreams and continue serving her family and community. If anyone reading this is connected to a Christian college or state university, a merit scholarship would be life-changing for her. Supporting Daeshanea means helping someone who has always put others first, and together, we can help her reach her full potential.
