HELP DADDY, HAROLD N. EAMES JR
Hello Everyone,
I'm Sara S. Eames, daughter of the man I have started
A lot of you know Daddy and his "story" but for those of you who don't here it is:
Daddy is a veteran. Three years in the US Army. Honorably discharged a 1st LT.
He and my Mom married in 1953 and were married for 56 years. They had 2 kids, me, Sara and my older brother Chip. We lived in the beautiful little town of North Hampton, NH. Mom and Daddy were snowbirds for many years heading to
Naples, FL when the NH weather turned cold and returned to NH when the
weather there turned warmer. Eventually they sold the NH house and moved to
Bonita Springs, FL full time. I took care of them as far as if anything needed to be
fixed I would fix it. Since I live an an hour north I would be down almost every
weekend. My mom passed away in 2009 and Daddy stayed in the house until
September 2012 when he came to live with me. I promised him I would take care
of him for as long as I was able and as long as he was able to help me take care of
him. All has been pretty good up until June 2nd, 2021. On that morning Daddy
what I thought was a heart attack. Struggling to breathe, sweating profusely,
agitated etc. Turns out he had his first TIA. On June 5th he had another TIA. On
that evening he had a lot of trouble getting into bed. I finally got him in and
prayed that in the morning he would be ok. Sadly he was not. He was unable to
get out of bed. Couldn't stand and of course he couldn't walk. I called 911 lift
assist to move him from his bed to his recliner. And there he remained until he
was admitted to Hospice House. Here is why I am starting this Go Fund Me,
Because his other symptoms, heart related, are under control, he must now be
downgraded and as such Medicare will no longer pay 100%. This means he has to
pay a share of cost of around $250.00 A DAY!! He only has his Social Security and my brother and I don't have that kind of money. We have started the process of
hopefully getting Medicaid. But until then...I need help! I have done my best to
take care of Daddy and his every need. He comes first, last and always. The parent
has become the child. Daddy now needs to be someplace that can take care of him
properly and he will be safe until such time as he passes away. Daddy is 92 years
old. His pacemaker battery is slowly dying. In fact, it should have stopped
working in April. It is only pumping one heart chamber. Now, Daddy's body is
slowly shutting down. Until that time we are in need of any help we can get. No
donation is too small. We are grateful for anything you donate. Please feel free to share this Gofundme page we appreciate it so much.
We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!! God Bless and please stay
safe.
