Hey everyone,
About 2 years ago, my brothers and I received heartbreaking news that my dad, who lives apart from us, has been battling stage 3 oral cancer. Due to his diagnosis, he was not able to continue work and stayed with my grandparents in Hong Kong, who he was also taking care of at the time. He had been undergoing extensive cancer treatment in China, racking up a hefty amount of medical bills as he has no health insurance there. My family has been trying to help as much as we could, even bringing him to the US this year for continued treatment and better care. However, as his condition worsened and his disease progressed, he unfortunately had to transition to hospice 2 months ago. In a race against time, my dad’s last wish was to go back to his home in China, and we made sure to get him there safely and as soon as possible. Since then, he’s run into some major complications where he’s landed himself back in the hospital for an emergency surgery in China.
We’re asking our family and friends to help contribute to the medical expenses such as hospital bills and equipment he needs for his feeding tube. They only have a limited amount of supplies and feedings left from what they brought over from the US. We’re hoping the funds can help with the financial burden and keep him safe and comfortable for as long as possible.
Lastly, we thank everyone who has already donated, offered help, sent prayers, and supported us as we navigate this difficult time.
