About a month ago my dad was complaining that there was a musky odor in his house and that he wasn’t able to get any sleep because or it. The air quality in his house was “uninhabitable” - yes, my dad has air quality monitors in his house and if you know him this won’t surprise you at all.

After countless sleepless nights he crawled under his house and found out that the vent had come undone during the winter and there was heat blowing under his house and caused the insulation to get wet giving off a real musky smell throughout the entire house. He can’t stay there. For the time being he’s been staying with me in a small apartment in town but he desperately wants to get back to his home.

he’s been throwing money at the issue left, right, and center, and it’s starting to take a toll finically -probably more mentally though. All money raised will go towards the vent being fixed, all new insulation under the house, all the plywood needs to be replaced, and the furnace should also be replaced.

My dad’s not the kind to ask for help or even to expect any, that’s why I’m asking. His insurance company said there’s absolutely nothing they can do for him; for whatever reason.

Moneys tight for everyone, I totally get that, if you can’t donate sharing this would mean the world. My dad’s been in the cleaning business in this town for over 30 years, but has been in the business of helping people for his entire life. Now, he’s the one that could really use the help.
