Help dad pay for mom's medical bills and funeral

Donation protected
Mom's final weeks in the hospital and her latest treatment put a lot of stress on my folks' financial situation.  Dad is of course "retired" now and social security for mom has already been discontinued.  Any little bit of help would be appreciated that would help dad pay off the medical debt and to pay for mom's final expenses.  Anything would help.  Thank you! - Brian

====================================

Patty K. Kemper passed away on Monday, March 15th at her home in Loveland, Colorado.

Patty was born in Brooklyn, New York but grew up in Whittier, California where she met Carl.  The two were married in California and would go on to share more than 51 years of marriage before Patty’s passing.  In 1978 Patty gave birth to their only child, Brian W. Kemper, who also resides in Loveland.

Patty was best known by her friends and family for her kindness, generosity, and selflessness.   However, people seemed to appreciate her sense of humor, her laughter, and orneriness almost as much!

Patty enjoyed being involved in the community, and volunteered with several non-profit organizations including Hearts and Horses, The Loveland Community Kitchen, The Salvation Army, and the American Cancer Society.

Over time, Patty developed a passion for horses.  While the gentle nature of a horse is just good for the soul, we think Patty enjoyed the friendships, the comradery, and the adventures that played out on steep trails and on the sides of cliffs more than anything.

Family is certainly what mattered most to her.  A dedicated mother for 42 years, she remained close to her son throughout her life and would become a loving mother-in-law to Jenelle Kemper when her son married.  Nine years ago Patty became a Grandmother for the first time, and then welcomed a second grandchild in 2014.  Patty truly loved being a grandmother and worked hard to make their time together special.  She may have spoiled them just a little bit since the girls finally gave Patty a chance to buy dolls and cute little girl clothes for somebody.

To say that Patty will be missed would be an understatement as the outpouring of support from friends and family continues to show us just how much Patty meant to everybody she met.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Pat Peters, and her father, Ed Peters, stepmother, Leona Peters, and brother-in-law, Greg Davidson.  She is survived by her husband, Carl Kemper, her son Brian Kemper (Jenelle) and her two granddaughters, Avery Kemper and Lacey Kemper.  She is also survived by her siblings, Maureen Zunic (Mark), Jim Peters (Julie), Bill Peters (Cathy) and Paula Pearson (Dale).  Finally, Patty is survived by seemingly countless friends, nieces, nephews, and her beloved horse, Gypsy.

A public viewing will be held at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland on Saturday, March 20th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m..  Graveside funeral services will be held at the Loveland Burial Park at a later date, casual riding clothes, western wear, or anything comfortable is encouraged along with masks.
