My dad has always been the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Recently, he was in a terrible accident that left him with a fractured neck and a broken left shoulder—his dominant side. As a commercial fisherman, he’s worked hard his whole life, but now he’s facing a long road to recovery without the ability to work or the safety net of insurance.

My dad is the last person to ask for help, but I know he doesn’t deserve to come out of the hospital only to worry about how he’ll pay his bills. That’s why I’m reaching out to our community for support.
