This has been a long year
Year for the bishop family at the first of the year my dad had to have triple heart bypass surgery then to find out that he had a rare cancer
Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC) A rare, aggressive cancer that forms in glandular tissues, most commonly in the salivary glands of the head and neck. ACC is the most common tumor of the minor salivary glands and the second most common tumor of the major salivary glands. He had surgery to have the tumor removed and is do 6 weeks of radiation and in the middle of all this his heart doctor has done scans done to see how his heart was doing and they said his heart wasn’t working but @ 45 % and his heart was going in
afib and put his on medication for blood clots that a month supply is over 600 a month just for one medication that’s not counting his other medication all his medication together they come up around 1600 month but between the triple heart bypass surgery and the surgery on his face to remove the tumor and radiation. He has lost his muscles so he isn’t nothing but skin and bones and he has osteoporosis and with him just laying in bed and moving and stuff, he’s broke his collarbone and has fractures in his spine with all this the medical bills have been stacking up and along with the expense of having to go to Houston Tx and Oklahoma City for all this I am trying to raise money to help him out. Thank you.
This just the beginning of his journey with the cancer he has to go back for 6 weeks of radiation and reconstruction he still has a long journey to go any help will be highly appreciated because just when he had his surgery we was there for two weeks and that wasn’t cheap just for the hotel was right at 4000 dollars not including the food so if you would please help him out for hit six week stay down there for radiation
This is my dad and we have been at MD Anderson cancer hospital fighting cancer for a month with a long road of recovery ahead. He had a 13 hour surgery to remove what could be removed with some bumps in the road we made it out into recovery. As soon as we thought things were looking up we landed in icu from reaction to a transfusion. We got back to recovery again and then he has had trouble with reactions to medicines and not enough oxygen to blood. Everyday its a new day that we just hold on to prayers and faith that he will continue to rest and heal to be able to come home and be back to himself and with his family! We still have six weeks of radiation five days a week, once a day in Houston after healing! Prayers and Thoughts mean everything! Thank you all so much for taking time to read his story and have him in your thoughts! I'll continue to keep everyone updated as much as i can.
All the money,
that are raised on here will be put on his medical bills and medicine he was a man that work for his Self most of his life and only draw his Social Security and that ain’t much
