Help Daba Fight Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ibiwari, and I never thought I’d be writing this.
My sister Daba is more than just my sibling—she’s my best friend. With a smile that brightens any room she enters and a warmth that brings joy to everyone she meets, she has an uncanny ability to make anyone feel special. As a devoted wife and mother to two adorable children, her love and light are the heart of her family.
In November 2022, our lives changed when she found a lump in her breast. A histopathology test confirmed it was cancerous, leading to breast-conserving surgery, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. By September 2023, she was declared cancer-free, and she shared a powerful testimony in church, radiating hope and gratitude. We thought the worst was behind us.
But in August 2024, new lumps appeared, and a CT scan delivered devastating news: the cancer had returned, spreading to her lungs. Now at Stage 4, it causes severe breathing difficulties, requiring constant oxygen support. She began another round of chemotherapy, but the side effects were brutal—an acute case of gastritis left her unable to eat or drink, even water, with excruciating pain as if her stomach and intestines were being torn apart. She was rushed to the ER, where painkillers helped stabilize her, but the effects linger.
The toll of chemotherapy was too much, so she bravely shifted to alternative treatments, including immunotherapy and ozone therapy, which are gentler on her body. These treatments are showing slow but promising progress, giving us hope. However, the financial strain on our family has been immense, as we’ve poured everything into keeping her alive.
My sister is fighting not just for herself but to live for her children, to see them grow and thrive. I’m launching this GoFundMe to raise $15,000 so she can continue these life-saving treatments and focus on healing. This fund will help cover:
• Ongoing costs of immunotherapy and ozone therapy
• Medical bills and oxygen support
• Nutritional and wellness support to rebuild her strength
We’re so close to the finish line, and if my sister’s courage, love, or spirit has ever touched you, I’m asking—with all my heart—for your support. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer. Even a share can make a difference.
This isn’t the end of her story—it’s a powerful pause. A chance to fight, heal, and return stronger for her family. With your help, we can get her to the finish line.
Thank you for standing with us in this season.
