Meet D, a remarkable woman on a mission to make the world a better place for women, mothers, and caregivers everywhere. D has been battling Crohn's disease since she was 18 years old, navigating its challenges while raising three incredible children ranging from toddler to teenager. Despite the hurdles thrown her way, D has never wavered in her commitment to advocacy and uplifting others.

As a proud Black mom, D champions causes close to her heart, including Black maternal health, caregiver support, and women's issues. Her journey with Crohn's has been fraught with complications, especially around the births of her children. Now, facing continuing complications that exacerbate her symptoms, D finds herself in a difficult position, both financially and health-wise.

Despite being forced to leave the workforce at critical moments in her career due to her debilitating condition, D has recently found her way back to a full time position that allows her to make a significant impact in her field while supporting her family, but when complications happen her system is threatened.

D's dedication knows no bounds. She sacrifices her precious vacation days to advocate for others, travels long distances to ensure her young daughter receives quality childcare, and tirelessly supports her older sons in their academic endeavors.
