This fundraiser was created to give students in our school’s Concept Young Scholar Program the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., an experience many of them have never had before. For most of our scholars, this will be their first time traveling to our nation’s capital and seeing the history they’ve only read about come to life. During the trip, students will explore museums, monuments, and memorials, and tour the United States Capitol, helping them build a deeper understanding of our government, history, and civic responsibility. As a teacher at a Title I charter school, I see firsthand how meaningful opportunities like this can inspire confidence, curiosity, and a belief that these spaces belong to them too.

The funds raised will help make this trip possible so that every student in our Concept Young Scholar Program has the opportunity to participate in this meaningful experience.
