Help Cyrus Visit NAU with His Grandmother

Hi everyone,

My name is Cyrus Cuffee, and I am a dedicated junior high school football player at Monterey Trails in Elk Grove, CA with big dreams of playing at the next level. I’ve recently been given an incredible opportunity—an unofficial visit to Northern Arizona University (NAU)—a school that has recognized my hard work and potential. This visit is coming up on April 11-12, 2025 is a crucial step in my journey, but I need your help to make it happen.

I need to raise $2,400 to cover travel expenses for both me and my grandmother, who has been my rock and biggest supporter. Unfortunately, my journey hasn’t been easy. I lost my mom to ovarian cancer in 2021 and my dad to a drug overdose in 2023. Since then, I’ve relied on the love and support of my grandmother, aunts, uncles, sisters, and brothers to keep me going.

Football has been my outlet, my passion, and my way of honoring the strength my parents instilled in me. This invitation from NAU is more than just a visit—it’s a sign that my hard work is paying off and that my dreams are within reach. But, as much as I want to take this next step, I struggle with asking for help.
