Help Our Son Cyrus Swim to the Paralympics!

Hello, friends and generous souls! My name is Raman, and along with Jessica, Cyrus’s mom, we’re here to tell you about an extraordinary 17-year-old who happens to be our son. His name is Cyrus, and though he’s nonverbal and has autism, he’s set his sights on something quite remarkable: swimming his way to the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

Like many parents of kids with autism, we first enrolled Cyrus in swim lessons out of sheer necessity. Drowning is a terrifyingly common risk for children on the spectrum, and we just wanted him to be safe. But somewhere along the way, that anxiety turned into something else—something much more wonderful. Cyrus fell in love with swimming, and it turns out, he’s incredibly good at it. And now, he's training with dreams of wearing the stars and stripes in the Paralympics.

We are setting up this GoFundMe because, as many of you know, the road to the Paralympics is long and often expensive. Cyrus has been invited to several key competitions across the country and internationally that will determine whether he makes it to Los Angeles—each one essential, but costly, with travel, coaching, and equipment adding up quickly.

That’s where you come in. With your help, we’re hoping to raise the funds to keep Cyrus in the pool and on his way to L.A. It’s not easy, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned from watching him train—always with a smile on his face—it’s that determination, heart, and a supportive community can make anything possible.

Thank you for believing in Cyrus. Your support means the world to him, and to all of us cheering him on.

Warmly,
Raman and Jessica
