Hello, my name is Nkechi First, and I'm reaching out on behalf of a passionate and inspiring changemaker, Cyril Azubuine. Cyril has just been accepted into the Master of Science (MSc) in Management of Technology and Information Systems (MoTIS) at ESIEE Paris, starting this September 2025.
This isn’t just a personal academic milestone - it’s a critical step in Cyril’s mission to drive STEM, EdTech, and digital inclusion for underserved communities in Africa and beyond.
Why Cyril’s Journey Matters
Cyril, originally from Nigeria, has spent the past several years leading impactful outreach programmes focused on STEM education, robotics, and cloud computing. His work includes:
- Hosting drone and robotics workshops for students in Abuja and Johannesburg
- Organising cloud and tech bootcamps for Black youth in Canada and the United States
- Mentoring girls and underrepresented youth to prepare for the future of work in tech
His dream is to scale this work globally, and the MoTIS programme at ESIEE Paris offers the ideal platform to do so.
What Your Support Will Help Cover
Cyril has already secured some support through initiatives like Black in Robotics and the Black Venture Capital Consortium (BVCC). However, he urgently needs to raise additional funds to meet key deadlines for his French visa application and relocation costs.
Your support will go toward:
- Visa application fees and embassy processing
- Housing deposit and initial rent
- Mandatory student health insurance in France
- Basic living expenses during the first few months
This is a temporary and targeted need, and Cyril is deeply committed to giving back through his ongoing work in social impact and education.
His Broader Vision
Through this opportunity, Cyril aims to:
- Develop inclusive EdTech platforms and hands-on learning labs for African students
- Launch mentorship programmes for girls in tech, cybersecurity, and cloud computing
- Advocate for inclusive digital transformation policies across institutions in Africa
- With this MSc, Cyril is not just pursuing a degree—he’s equipping himself to lead sustainable innovation and empower the next generation.
