Help Cyree Jarelle Recover from Top Surgery

Hi, My name is Cyree Jarelle Johnson and I'm raising funds to recover after top surgery.

I'm a Black fem gender nonconforming trans person. I live with multiple disabilities, including Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Fibromyalgia. I am a writer, a tarot reader, and am active in the disability justice movement.

Because of my disabilities, COVID-19, and various other reasons, I have had to postpone having top surgery for many years. I am super happy to say that I have finally been scheduled to have top surgery with Dr. Paul Weiss on May 19th, 2023 (I was literally approved minutes ago, lol).

Not only will this make me very happy and much freer, it will also make me one of the last of Dr. Weiss' boys (he's retiring in like two weeks or something.)

I'm reaching out to my communities for recovery expenses because I'm a small business owner and wont be able to work as much as I recover. I want to make sure that I'm well taken care of while I'm laid out.

I'm lucky that Medicaid will cover the vast majority of my expenses, but I have additional needs that wont be covered.

Here's how the costs break down:

Post-surgical recovery will likely be more complex for me than someone non-disabled. I want to make sure that I have what I need to heal!

I'm looking forward to taking deep breaths. I'm looking forward to sitting up straight without embarassment. I'm looking forward to being myself.
