Help Cypress Fight Discospondylitis
Donation protected
Hi everyone. My sister’s dog, Cypress, is currently fighting for her life at UF Animal Emergency Hospital. Over the last few weeks, we’ve learned that she has Discospondylitis, a disease caused by an infection in the spine. The infection has aggressively progressed and doesn’t seem to be responding to antibiotics. She has lost the ability to feel and use her hind legs at a shockingly fast rate, with very little chance (if any) of her walking again. Along with this horrible infection, she has the beginnings of a small vertebral fracture that would need surgery to stabilize her spine. Which is very high risk until the infection is cleared up. She’s receiving wonderful care at UF Animal Emergency Hospital in Gainesville as we continue to hold onto hope that she’ll start to respond to her antibiotics. CJ is a wonderful dog mama that has been doing absolutely everything she can for this sweet angel. Cypress’s care is very expensive and continuing to add up each day as things are constantly changing. Any penny you can donate for CJ and Cypress would be extremely helpful, and your prayers and positive thoughts are very appreciated by our family ❤️
