My friend Cynthia and my daughter’s amazing nanny has been dealing with difficult times. Cynthia’s 22 year old sister who lives in Guadalajara fell on concrete, cracked the side of her face and now has meningitis. They don’t have insurance in Mexico and her antibiotic that she needs cost $1200 a day. Her sister, who has 4 children, is currently at home and bedridden and her memory is quickly beginning to fade. Cynthia’s mom is taking care of her sister and her 4 kids and cannot work as of now. She is struggling to buy food for the family on top of taking care of Cynthia’s sister and her kids.
