Help Me Save My Home After Surviving Stage 4 Cancer

Story:

Over the past year and a half, my life has been consumed by one thing—fighting for my life.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma, and every ounce of my energy went into surviving. Treatments, appointments, recovery—it took everything I had. I’m incredibly grateful to still be here, but the fight hasn’t truly ended. I’m still healing, still dealing with the effects, and trying to rebuild my life piece by piece.

During this time, I fell behind on something I never imagined I would lose control over—my home.

The house I live in was passed down to me from my mother, but it came with back property taxes. My plan was to begin catching up this year. However, when I went to make a payment, I was blindsided with devastating news: someone had filed for a tax deed on the property, something I was never made aware of.

Now I’ve been told I must pay $15,000 in back taxes by May 29, 2026, or my home will be auctioned off.

After everything—after fighting cancer, after surviving—I’m now facing the possibility of becoming homeless.

I am doing everything I can, but I can’t do this alone. I need help.
