My name is Cynthia Williams, I'm a 25-year old autistic trans woman, and I'm currently stuck in the middle of West Virginia in a very small town with no job, no prospects of jobs, no opportunities, and no money (checking and savings are currently in negative as of the time of writing), and I live in a red state with almost nobody I can comfortably be myself around. I've never managed to hold down a job where I could reasonably save money because either the hours get cut or other life events get in the way, and now more than ever, I'm scared for my life of either facing eventual persecution due to the way the country is right now or just rotting for eternity here completely destitute and futureless. This needs to change. I've thought about this for months, but things get more and more dire and I'm spiraling more and more with every passing day. I don't see things getting better for me while I'm here, and I can't move out on my own even with a job, so I'm left with no choice but to turn to you all. My goal is to move to or around Troy, New York, as I have friends in Albany and have even visited Albany once, so it would mean a lot to me if I received enough money to move out, ship my stuff, have money to get an apartment and have rent + National Grid bill + other expenses ready for a while (or at the very least, stay with a friend in the meantime) while I look for jobs there, because nobody where I'm currently at will hire me.
