Hello everyone, I have never put anything like this out there so y'all know I need your help! So many of you know our good friend Cynthia "Gummy" Rehm from so many of our fundraising events that she has worked or attended over the years. Now she needs our help.

She has faced more than her share of challenges lately. After a difficult divorce left her displaced, she managed to purchase a modest trailer with the little she had left. Unemployed and scraping by, she was doing her best to make ends meet and save up for insurance on her new home when her furnace failed. She relied on space heaters and her oven to keep warm, determined to get by until she could afford repairs.

Tragically, a faulty extension cord sparked a fire that tore through her garage, destroying everything inside. Thankfully, the garage itself remains structurally sound from what we see, and the damage to her living room was limited to the flooring. Still, the aftermath has left her with a huge mess—soot everywhere, ruined belongings, and the daunting task of cleaning up and rebuilding. She’s facing all of this without insurance, and right now, every expense will come out of pocket for those of us who care about her.

We have a skilled general contractor ready to help, and a growing list of volunteers pitching in. Every dollar raised will go directly toward removing and hauling away damaged materials, dumping fees, and repairing or replacing what’s needed so she can safely move back into her home.

Our goal is to restore her home to a safe, comfortable place without putting too much strain on anyone helping her. That’s where you come in—your support will make a real difference for her as she works to rebuild her life. Thank you for anything you can give.
