My name is Cynthia, and I never imagined I would be in this position. After losing my home and my car, I also lost my job of over 20 years. My husband is currently in a facility and unable to work, so I have been staying with his parents. Unfortunately, this living situation is difficult for all of us, and I am struggling to find stability.

On top of everything, I have faced serious health challenges. I have COPD, high blood pressure, and have suffered two strokes, which have affected my ability to walk and work. I quit smoking 11 years ago, but my health issues continue to impact my daily life. I am in the process of applying for SSDI and food stamps, but the approval process is slow, and I have no idea when support will begin. In the meantime, I am unable to afford my medications and have been going without many basic personal needs. I do have my husband's old truck, but it uses a lot of gas, so I rarely drive it.

I am reaching out because I need help to secure a safe, all-bills-paid place to live and to cover my essential needs while I wait for SSDI.
