Help Bring Robin & Cynthia Home to a Warm, Safe House ❤️
For years, Robin and Cynthia have cared deeply for each other, their home, and their community. Now, they desperately need help from caring people like you.
Both are currently in a rehabilitation facility. Cynthia had to undergo a medical procedure and since she has been Robin’s caregiver, he needed care as well while she recovers.
Robin was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer and the ONLY thing they want, is to return to their home.
Each week when I visit Robin keeps asking me, “Is my home warm yet?”
Right now, I have to tell him no… but with your help, I would love to finally say YES.
Their Situation -
I met Robin and Cynthia about five years ago, and they instantly had my heart. They are elderly, alone, and truly have no one else. I’ve tried my best to help with meals, property cleanup, maintenance, anything I could, but now the situation is far beyond what I can manage alone.
Robin is a double amputee and battling serious medical issues, and Cynthia spends her life caring for him. Because of health struggles, their home fell into disrepair, they received property violations, and the costs have been overwhelming. Years ago, they were forced to pay over $17,000 on assessments from a property abatement due to violations this was assessed to their property tax, so instead of fixing their furnace — which means they have gone almost 10 years without heat. They haven’t even had a Christmas tree in 15 years.
To make things worse, they were taken advantage of. A company demanded a $2,000 deposit to connect their sewer line, then disappeared and refused to return the money. They were forced to hire another company and pay again.
And through all of this… They still pay their taxes.
They still pay a $1,600 mortgage every month. They refuse to give up their home because they love it. This is the place that holds their life, their memories, and their dignity. Robin’s biggest fear? He looked at me and said, “Please don’t let them take my home.”
Your donations will go directly toward:
• A working furnace so they can finally return to a warm home
• Roof repairs
• Fence and gutter repairs
• Remaining property compliance repairs
• Essential home safety needs
Every contribution, big or small, helps bring them one step closer to coming home.
Cynthia cried to me asking not to leave them, because they truly have no one. I promised I wouldn’t turn my back, but I can’t do this alone. I’m asking for help because these are good people who deserve to stay in the home they worked their entire lives for.
My biggest wish is simply to show them that people still care.
If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can’t, please share their story.
One day, we will all grow old, and I pray that when that day comes, there will be someone kind enough to help us too. Thank you for reading, caring, and helping save Robin & Cynthia’s home.
God bless you. ♥️
