*Update at the bottom
Hi, my name is Andrea Carter. I want to share my sister’s story. Cynthia Phillipson is 26 years old and has been with her husband, Blake Phillipson, for 8 years and married for 6 years. She has always dreamed of having children but unfortunate news after another, she has not yet had the chance. She has unfortunately been diagnosed with PCOS. Blake and Cynthia have been praying for a child for more than 5 years now. In May of 2024, just over a year ago, Cynthia had a laparoscopic surgery to drain a large cyst off of her uterus. The cyst was over 12cm long and 10cm wide. Her cycle did not come back after this surgery and after 5 months, she was left with the same agonizing back pain as before. By November of 2024, Cynthia was back at the doctor’s office again wondering if something had gone wrong. Her obgyn thought maybe something more was going on that they weren’t able to see on a sonogram and sent her to get an MRI. She was also referred her to a specialist oncologist obgyn. Cynthia went back and saw Dr. Daily on February 14, 2025 and got her results. She had a large tumor in her uterus which appeared to have some cancerous tissue. By March of 2025, she had an open abdominal myomectomy surgery to remove the new tumor and cyst. Cynthia was warned that if tests done on the samples showed clear signs of cancer, she would have a hysterectomy during the surgery. She had no idea the outcome of the surgery until she woke up and could think clearly. The results of the surgery listed the tumor as a “stump”, uterus in tact, 35 staples, and 6 weeks minimum bed rest to heal properly. Cynthia is still healing from this procedure. She was told to come back for a CT scan in 6 months and at 12 months she could start trying for a baby again! October of 2025 she had her CT and it shows she has a mass on her lung as well as the tumor seems to regrown in her uterus. Not long after she got a MRI to see more. On October 31st, Cynthia found out that the tumor had in fact come back, but this time in only 6 months. We all feared this outcome because unfortunately, she will have to be reopened for a hysterectomy. They will test the tumor to see if it’s cancerous or benign. It is such devastating news for her. Finding out news like that at only 26 years old has caused so much pain for her.

Update:
On December 11th, 2025 Cynthia had a hysterectomy. The world is so unfair and cruel. Cynthia had to be off several weeks and is still healing. We are very thankful Cynthia made it through her surgery with no complications. The doctors warned her that even though her uterus is removed, her tumor could return. Cynthia will find out more information on her options like IVF and surrogacy. We’ve had a change of plans and now I, Andrea, will be Cynthia’s surrogate. They have quoted egg retrieval for around 23k plus and 8k for additional medication and treatment. I will also need to do IVF treatments which are about 10-15k per round! Not including my medical bills, lawyer fee’s and etc. Her medical bills have been extensive with another surgery. We ask that you please share Cynthia and Blake’s story with love. Any donation will help a ton!! We appreciate y’all for listening to their journey and can’t wait for this opportunity to become a reality!I
