Help Curtis’ Recovery from Ski Crash

Hey everyone, I’m helping my partner and other half, Curtis get back on his feet. Curtis and I are in Alaska on a ski trip and yesterday he fell and fractured his neck and has compression fractures in his thoracic spine. He hit something, front flipped, and did landed just wrong. He thought he was fine and had whiplash and just rode down the rest of the mountain. I didn’t see the fall and didn’t see him til he was down as he was with our buddy on this run. He was pretty stubborn to get to go to the hospital as he’s tough as nails and hates to complain. There’s about a 50/50 chance he’ll be needing to have surgery. At the moment he has no spinal cord damage. Other than a bit of weakness on his left side, he’s able to move okay. His neck is stabilized, but we’re still figuring out the safest way to fly home with the compression fractures. He has a physical job and won’t be working for a few months because the smallest movement in the wrong direction, could easily change his life forever. All we want is a solid recovery and no stress about getting the care he needs. His insurance isn’t gonna cover nearly the cost of what it takes or the recovery time. He asked me to create a gofundme to help him over the next few months, let alone cover the costs of medical care. Anything helps, including thoughts and prayers. We’re super thankful for the support we’ve already gotten but if anyone can share and help that’d be amazing.
