Help Curtis pay for home aide

Hi, I'm Lori and I'm fundraising for Curtis Prather.

Curtis had a stroke in early December and his road to healing and independence has been slow, due to the seizures he experienced and the subsequent brain trauma. As a result, Curtis is not able to live alone and requires a home-health aide to assist him on a daily basis.

His day-to-day needs, for what this fundraising effort covers, are someone to prepare his meals, remind him to take meds, coordinate his care calendar, drive him to appointments, and do general housekeeping. In a perfect world, Curtis would have a home to stay in with a friend or family member but this has not been an option for him. His current care team of friends have worked hard to allow Curtis to remain in his own home, but they are no longer able to provide the day-to-day oversight.

Curtis's community has been very generous to date helping with the Amazon wish list, and as a result, he has been able to remain above water financially. In full transparency, the home health aide is currently being paid for by a credit card, and this GoFundMe would allow this card to be paid off so that when Curtis is independent again, he won't be re-entering his independent life with debt. No other costs will be incurred on this card, and this fundraiser is only to assist with relieving that burden.
