Help Curtis pay bills while he fights cancer

Hi. My name is Donna Foster and I am a retired senior English teacher. Curtis Stephen was a student of mine in Bruce, MS. His father moved him from up north (kidnapped him from his mother). Curtis was very smart, well-mannered, and always had a smile - the kind of student that every teacher loves. He was also a great athlete and got a basketball scholarship to Northwest Community College when he graduated in 1984. So he moved into the dorm. When he came home, he found out that his dad had left. So during weekends and school holidays, he had to just stay in his room because he had no where to go.
I had no idea what his home life was like. He hid it well. Curtis made it on his own and has since gone back to Milwaukee. He is a single father raising two young children. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on his birthday six months ago. The cancer is in his liver and pancreas.
We reconnected years ago and we talk a couple times a week. Only then did I find out what all he had been through. My heart is broken for him as he is fighting for his life. He needs prayers most of all, but he also needs some financial help right now. I tried to post a video but was not successful in doing so. You may have to type in the address shown at the top of this page. Its a video that was on the news in Milwaukee. It’s very touching and proves that Curtis needs help. If you can give any money, it would be very helpful. No amount is too small.
