Help Natalie and her Family as they Battle Cancer!

Donation protected

It breaks my heart to be doing this again. Many of you know the seemingly relentless burdens that have been heaped on my brother Curtis, and his wife Alicia, and their family over the last year and a half as young Natalie has valiantly and courageously fought Brain Cancer. Most recently, Curtis was diagnosed with a recurrence and spreading of his Testicular Cancer which we thought was gone after surgery last year. So many have reached out in a Christlike effort to "bear one another's burdens" and we all sincerely thank you for what you have done. Your continued prayers, love, and any donation you are able to make will be greatly appreciated as this Daddy Daughter team fight to beat cancer TOGETHER! We love you Curtis, Alicia, Natalie, and Lillie!

Here is a more detailed update from Alicia:

We are often told “you are so strong.” And “I don’t know how you do it”. The truth is we don’t have another choice. Cancer is hard. Life with cancer is so so hard and now we have half of our family fighting cancer.
Four year old Natalie continues to fight her rare and aggressive Stage IV Brain Cancer and is doing relatively well. She continues her at home chemo each month with a few side effects including nausea. We have been diligently seeking and learning the best nutrient based foods to help her be healthy and happy and gain strength. Her life is far different than it should be, but we are so grateful for her progress and all the help we continue to receive for her. Her tumors are considered stable for now but she still lives with a terminal cancer diagnosis and will never be considered “in remission”.

Last May was challenging. Curtis was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer, had a surgery to remove the tumor, baby Lillie was born and Natalie had to endure another round of heavy chemo. Our hope was that the surgery would be able to take care of the cancer for Curtis. Sadly, this month we were told his cancer has relapsed and metastasized to multiple lymph nodes in his lower abdomen. Also there is a large tumor almost the size of a baseball in his lower back that is on one of the lymph nodes which runs along a major artery. To surgically remove this is dangerous with no Dr.’s in town that have the experience to perform this type of surgery. Alongside the dangers of this surgery is the likelihood of being sterile. We have looked into the storing process and fees associated with that as we aren’t ready to make the decision of no more children for us just yet. The Dr.’s are trying everything they can first to hold off on surgery for the time being so an aggressive 3 round chemo plan over the next few months will give him the best chance to prevent this cancer from continuing to spread to other parts of his body. The good news is this testicular cancer with treatment is 90% curable.

They want to place a port and begin chemo as soon as possible. He’s had major dental work the last few months that needs finished first to reduce the risk of infection as the chemo will knock down his white blood cells. Curtis has been helping every minute of everyday to keep our family afloat during the last 1 1/2 years as Natalie and Lillie have needed constant care all while trying to juggle running our at home business. All of which has kept everyone busy with sleepless nights and struggling to keep up with all the demands of everyday life.
We have had so much love and support and help along the way and we couldn’t have done it all alone. We appreciate all those that are willing to continue to support us as we are thrown back into the cancer battlefield once again. We feel so blessed as a family to be surrounded by such strong and supportive, amazing people.

Your monetary donations will help pay for the many out of pocket medical expenses, help us keep up with daily life expenses and a homemade special diet plan for both Curtis and Natalie.

We sincerely thank you for your prayers, love and support.
