Hello, my name is Curtis Benson. I'm a 50-year-old male. I've been married for 8 years. This July in 2025, the job I worked for decided to close its doors. With the economy the way it is, there are many job postings. Since July of 2025 till now, which is January 2026, I have submitted more than 200 applications and received no response or interview offers. I worked my last job diligently to place myself in a position for an advancement. In less than 45 days after finally getting the opportunity to show what I bring to a company, they closed. At 50 years old, it seems jobs don't want to hire people my age. After not being able to find a job for 6 months, my wife and I are looking to be homeless unless we are able to get funds. I've asked family, and they helped when they were able. I love and appreciate everything they have helped us with, but they can only help so much since they have their own families to take care of. This is my last chance to be able to have a home to live in. Most people wouldn't understand or care about another's problems. Right now, I'm just doing what my mom said to me before she passed, "Don't be afraid to ask for help." So, I'm asking the world for help.
