Help Curtis and Family Recover From Flood
Donation protected
My son Curtis and his family lost their home and possessions, including both cars, to a flood last night. They did not have flood insurance. I am asking everyone that can and is willing, to donate whatever you feel. Any amount is appreciated. They need funds to relocate, find new transportation, furnishing etc. If you cannot afford to donate or do not wish to do so, please keep them in your prayers. Thank you in advance and God bless you.
UPDATE <> To clarify the Curtis family LOST everything in a flash flood 5/18/21 they have worked hard attempting to salvage clothing. No FEMA ,no specific flood insurance, no disaster funds, Samaritan Purse , Noah Ark will not help since the governor did not declare an emergency only five homes flooded. They lived in a four bedroom mobile home. Nothing wood, paper , electronic can survive water. We do at this time have a temporary placement that is furnished and small due to all the GFM and cashapp help. $mcnair83 we also rented a uhaul and have attempted to save a few content items in a climate controlled storage unit. We pay our bills and were not behind on anything but yes we do live paycheck to paycheck. TYSM for all the wishlist items also. It was very scary to get three kiddos and a dog out but we are BLESSED NO LIFES LOST ! Join us in prayer being thankful that only our home, things and cars are lost. Please just imagine water to your neck, cold, dark and trying to rescue three kids and a dog. The city sent one policewomen to do the rescue but by the time she arrived Curtis and Cassie had all the children to safe ground. It will be sometime before the little ones accept rain without anxiety its not just "things" we are dealing with. We need to find a place to live, make it home and find transportation. No amount is too small. With humbled thank you. Thank you for sharing this on your own social media it is only as a village we will survive. When your child ask "are we going to die"? You look them in the eye and say "NOT TODAY"! God bless us all.
UPDATE <> New reporter did an update on how our family has not had access to disaster relief . We are extremely grateful for all the wishlist items sent. And Alana Adams with RiseUpFountation large contribution. We are still in an extremely temporary placement without cars. without your help it feels impossible to have lost life long items in a blink of an eye. Remain thankful we escaped. Please call your senator or governor about our situation.
