Help Cure Ripley’s Feline Stomatitis
This is our rescue cat Ripley, a few months ago she was diagnosed with feline stomatitis. I had never even heard of that before, but now I know stomatitis is an autoimmune condition that makes her immune system attack her own teeth. This constant attack results in inflamed, swollen gums and bleeding absences all the way down her throat. It’s a very painful and chronic condition.
After trying all kinds of treatments, including 7 different medications as well as prescription foods, our vet and the specialist at Blue Pearl Specialty Pet Hospital both agree it’s time to have her teeth surgically removed. Once the teeth are gone there will be nothing for her immune system to react to and attack.
Ripley is so loved and so sweet, I can’t wait to see her energy return once she’s no longer in pain. She’s only 1 year old, with no other health conditions and she deserves a long, pain-free life. The surgery is shockingly expensive, between $4000 and $5000 dollars. Any donation helps us provide her with the best care we possibly can. ♡
