Help Guillermo Delgado in his fight against stage 4 Colon Cancer

Hello my name is Natalya. My good friend Guillermo Delgado was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer on October 10, 2019, the worst day ever. He immediately started chemo a month later. He went through 8 months of chemotherapy and later had to do radiation for 2 more months. He finished all his treatments and recovered for 8 weeks before they could consider performing surgery to remove the tumor. Within those 8 weeks of recovery, his cancer didn’t stop and it spread to his left lung along with other lymph nodes throughout his stomach/pelvic area. This has now changed his cancer to Stage 4. They did not want to do surgery at first after finding this, but he developed a severe infection and the doctor’s then decided to perform a palliative colostomy surgery, which has helped with his pain and comfort. He will be resuming chemotherapy very soon, and we are hoping to find a second opinion for him.

Guillermo is a fighter! His son Jace keeps him fighting on days he just wants to give up. He lives with his son, mom Mitzi, sister Pamela, and nephew RJ. He has full custody of his 3 year old son, Jace. His family has been his number 1 supporter from the start. They are there day and night to help and support him and Jace during this tragic time.

Long before his diagnosis, in 2013, he attended Apex in Long Island City, Queens. He busted his butt to become a mechanic at Arlington Auto. 5 months before his diagnosis things were looking up. He had just received a promotion at his job and was enjoying spending time with his son. Cancer doesn’t discriminate, it comes out of anywhere and it’s important to pay attention to your body’s signs of infection. Guillermo has had numerous infections and finding the right antibiotics for him was a battle in itself. He had to be hospitalized a few times due to infections. He’s been out of work for over a year, but continues to fight harder than ever for his family and friends.

My goal is to raise money to get him to the best doctors and get help with his medical supplies and bills that insurance doesn’t fully cover. Unfortunately, dealing with insurance has been one of his biggest obstacles in this journey. The holidays are coming and I am asking for anyone to please donate anything, the smallest donation can help the most.

With stage 4 cancer Guillermo has had a positive attitude and WILL beat this and over come this but we need YOUR help. Thank you for reading this and anyone that knows Guillermo knows his funny personality and kind heart. Let’s all come together and make a difference. TEAM GUILLERMO! <3
