CupCake isn’t just a dog—she’s my sister, my mother’s daughter, and my grandma’s granddaughter. She keeps us grateful for life and brings hope to our family every day. As my mom and grandma’s registered ESA and service dog, CupCake has worked miracles: she keeps my grandmother safe from seizures and helps my mom cope with the deep sadness after losing my stepfather. When my mom felt lost and wondered what the point of life was, CupCake was there to comfort her and give her a reason to keep going.

CupCake was hit by a car as a young puppy, and although she healed, the injury has come back as she’s gotten older—now worse than ever. She’s at risk of losing her ability to walk for the rest of her life. The surgery she needs is urgent and expensive, and if we tried to save the money ourselves, it could take years—time we might not have. Donations would make it possible to fix her leg and give her a real chance to run and play again. Even if we could raise just part of the amount, it would mean the world to us.

CupCake has saved my grandma Lisa’s life on many occasions. Lisa is over 64 years old, with fragile bones and a history of seizures.
