Cubby (Jacob) is 4 years old and has level 3 autism. He is non-verbal and has food aversion, which makes daily life a challenge for him and for us as a family. Over the years, I’ve watched Cubby (Jacob) struggle to communicate his needs and wants. As a parent, it’s truly heartbreaking to see your child face these obstacles and not be able to express himself. Cubby (Jacob) is full of life, but speech has always been extremely hard for him.
We are seeking stem cell therapy for Cubby (Jacob). The goal is to help him gain the ability to communicate, express his needs, and hopefully become more independent. He’s starting school soon, and I want to give him every possible chance to succeed. For us as a family, it would mean everything to hear Cubby (Jacob)'s little voice again or simply to have him communicate a pain, feeling, or need. I haven’t heard him call me Daddy since he was a year old, and I would do just about anything to hear that again.
Cubby (Jacob) needs this therapy, and we need your help to make it possible. Any support you can give would mean the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering helping Cubby (Jacob) on his journey to find his voice.
