Help Cub Scouts Replace Stolen Gear
We’re sad to report that Pack 16’s 12-foot box trailer (similar to the one pictured) has been stolen. It was parked at Grace Community United Methodist Church in Shreveport, and it contained all the pack’s equipment for camping and some other miscellaneous items. Cookers, burners, kitchen sets, pots, pans, tables, lanterns, coolers, large drinking jugs, utensils – you name it, it was in there. The contents were valued at upwards of $2,000.
It’s unknown at this time when the theft occurred. We decided to start this Go Fund Me page after receiving an outpouring of support for our pack on Facebook. We'll be grateful for anything and everything raised from it. Hopefully we can replace the camping gear and get a new trailer before our first family campout of the year, which is scheduled for October.
Judging from all the messages and comments we got today, it's obvious there are more good guys than bad guys out there. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
