My name is Robert Abrego, and I am the owner of CTXSavage Pet Supply in Killeen, Texas. At approximately 2:20 a.m. this morning, I received every small business owner’s worst nightmare—a notification that our front glass had been shattered and motion was detected inside our store. We rushed to the location as quickly as we could, fearing the worst.

Law enforcement responded after we contacted them and completed a report, but unfortunately there was little that could be done at that point. What made this situation even more difficult is that although ADT notified me of the break-in, they did not contact the police. By the time we arrived, the damage had already been done.

We had just moved into this new storefront on November 1, 2025, and this unexpected loss has placed an overwhelming financial strain on our small, family-owned business. The funds we are hoping to raise will go directly toward replacing the shattered glass, installing proper security measures such as security bars or a roll-down security door, and covering the costs needed to discontinue our current security service.

CTXSavage Pet Supply is more than just a store. We are responsible for the care and safety of live animals, including bearded lizards, snakes, and frogs, and we proudly support the local dog breeding community. This break-in threatens not only our livelihood but also the well-being of the animals that depend on us.
