Help Csaba with his Rehab

Hi all

My name is Samara, and I am a close friend of Csaba‘s. I am putting this page together to help Csaba with his lengthy rehab after a very unfortunate accident.

On Sunday, 9 October 2022 Csaba made a split second decision that has changed his life forever. That decision left him with 2 broken bones in his back, three broken ribs, a broken sternum, and a broken ankle.

Csaba’s biggest issue is his back; he has shattered his L3 vertebra and broken the T12 vertebra.

Csaba has had 2 operations where they have put a number of screws and rods into his back to try and stabilise it. Imagine a cage being built inside your body so your spine doesn’t collapse. The first surgery failed so he had to go under the knife again to redo and add additional screws and rods.

Csaba was helping a mate out on his property to move a shed. A 3x4 metre estimated 300 kg wall fell and landed on his back from about 3 metres high.

Csaba is extremely lucky that he’s still alive, his head did not take much impact and he’s still just as smart as before.......

I know that Csaba will get back up on his legs, he will be walking again and he’ll be even stronger than before!

Seems like it’s going to be a long and painful road, the rehabilitation will take around 6 - 12 months if everything goes to plan, then he’ll be able to function and return to work in some capacity.

Being stubborn as he is and having the ‘if it’s to be it’s up to me’ attitude he naturally does not have any insurance like: TPD, life, health, loss of income… and whatever else is out there.

The purpose of this page is to let you know what happened to Csaba, we’ll keep you updated on his progress, I know he would extremely appreciate every thought and prayer from you as it will help Csaba heal so much faster and if there’s a spare penny that could go towards his rehab that would be very much appreciated too! Any funds raised will be used to fund Csaba’s rehab period.

A hurdle is only a hurdle and Csaba will come out of this a better person!
