Abigail Huezo is the youngest amongst her siblings with two older brothers, Brandon and Zaavan and her loving Mom and Dad, Crystal and Edwin. Throughout her life she has always been the princess of the family and is always being looked after. However, despite the constant protection and love the family could not have anticipated the battle she would undergo as she was unexpectedly diagnosed with lymphoblastic lymphoma, a t-cell cancer a week before her 8th birthday. The cancer is located in her chest near the thymus and is impinging on her heart and affecting her airway. Upon diagnosis the family’s world has been shattered but Abby is staying strong and battling this disease the best she can. Total treatment time for this type of cancer is around 3 years and of course a lifetime of follow-up. With the support of her family, friends, doctors and nurses Abby will continue to fight every day. The hope is that sharing Abby’s journey we can help to lighten the financial load on the family so they can focus on Abby and the long road she has ahead.
