On October 12th at 7:01am, I received a message, “My Mom passed.” My lifelong friend Crystal, in her time of grief, is planning her mother’s funeral.

After Gloria’s dementia diagnosis 2 years ago, Crystal knew, like any good daughter would, she would care for her momma at home, where she was loved and in the comfort of her family.

My name is Dayna, and Crystal is a lifelong friend of mine. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing her mom, Gloria, on a personal level, and she was like a second mom to me.
