From Foster Care & Abuse to Homelessness — Please Help Me Rebuild:
Hi, my name is Crystal. I’m 27 years old, and I’ve been homeless since I aged out of the foster care system. I’ve tried every direction I know, and I’m asking for help not out of pity, but from a place of truth and survival.
I was born 10 weeks early, addicted to drugs, with fetal alcohol syndrome. I was taken from my birth mother and placed in foster care. I almost got adopted, but a week before it happened, the man who was supposed to become my father said he didn’t want me. I was only five.
After that, my adoptive mother blamed me for their divorce. She abused me physically, emotionally, and mentally. She isolated me, kept me from family, used Munchausen by proxy to take me to doctors trying to get me labeled “disabled” for money, and she controlled my every move. I was beaten, locked away, and made to feel worthless.
At 14, I was finally removed. But I was bounced between 15 foster homes, sometimes weekly. At 18, I aged out — alone, traumatized, and without support. I’ve been homeless ever since.

️ What I’m Asking For:
Right now, I’m trying to survive — but more importantly, I want to build a stable life. I’m not just asking for money. I’m asking for help getting my life back.
I’m raising funds to help with:
• A safe place to sleep
• Food, hygiene, and basic needs
• Therapy for complex trauma and depression
• A car, so I can get to jobs and appointments
• Help finding and affording a job and permanent housing — a place I can finally call home
To get my 2 precious children the mother they deserve.
I’ve called 211 and reached out to shelters — many tell me there’s nothing they can do. But I know someone out there can help.
