Hey all! I'm setting up this GoFundMe to attempt to rally support from my community.
Long story short, I've taken some major life steps in the last year (went to court and got sole custody of my son, moved away from a financially supportive dynamic, moved out of our sweet little home in Ludlowville and into a lil cabin refuge in the woods for the winter). Some of you may know that these have been very hard but necessary & rewarding changes for us, and it's really important to continue this momentum forward.
Any funds raised will go towards the following bills:
I'm currently behind on my phone bill as well as my electric bill (I've applied for HEAP but am awaiting a decision within 30 days, and the shut-off notice is for Feb 6th. It may come in time to cover the shut-off amount this once but will continue to add up with supplemental heating for winter, etc.). I have storage units that are holding the majority of our household stuff until the end of the school year, when we move into a proper home because there is no room in our tiny cabin. Anything donated will go towards covering these bills, Thomas's winter baseball training and gear, as well as setting aside funds for moving at the end of the school year into a home that's a fit for us.
Outside of these basics, there is ONE thing I'd like to "gift" myself for my birthday this year, and that would be the AMTA massage convention in April. The cost is around $400 for the 3 days of continuing education classes that are needed to maintain my massage license moving forward.
This will be the last thing considered when allocating any donated funds.
I have attached proof of costs of the convention, and the nyseg balance due, if you'd like receipts or more documentation of where the money goes, or have any questions at all feel free to reach out to me.
Thank you SO much for considering contributing to our family!

*I do want to note that I did sucessfully start a part time job this week for the first time in years (due to my disability). Given it continues to go well, these small funds will help, but I'm also aware that this income will now effect my current program(s) financial contributions. Meaning, any increase in income will decrease my food stamps and heap, as well as effect my section 8 (they'll up my rental obligation and lower what they pay). This obviously effects my ability to cover other bills and in the long run may disqualify me for the SSDI that's been our stable income.
I've also had excessive expenses in the last 6 months that have depleted any savings I had (fire wood delivery, propane for cooking, security deposit and first month's rent for moving in, had to shop a new car insurance policy, small car repair issues etc.)
Sorry for the long info, just want to add a much as possible so you know a little about us and you'll know directly where funds are going.
THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE!!
