Help Crystal Keep Rashad's Bus Running

Hi - Jamie & Andi Kimbrough here. We are reaching out to you to try and secure additional support for our dear friends Crystal and Rashad (whom some of you already are blessed to know). So many of you have helped in the past with clothing, toys, bedding, etc. They are so appreciative of those who have given so generously already. For those who don't know our friends...Rashad (who is 33) has downs syndrome, CP, autism, a tracheotomy, a colostomy, super pubic catheter, among other medical limitations (just a lot for one tiny body to handle). Crystal is a single mom caring for him all on her own. They have been patients of Jamie's for more than 10 years. In that time they have become good friends of our whole family and we frequently get together with them. Some of you I am sure have met them at one of the boys' shows!

Currently they are in desperate need of funds to help fix their vehicle that allows Crystal to get Rashad to his medical appointments. Rashad has both physical and occupational therapy a few times a week. In addition, Crystal has a number of health issues from the ware and tear of caregiving (she alone provides for all of his physical needs, getting him up, and pushing his chair around). She has a broken foot right now and has had imaging, doctor office visits, as well as potential surgery. Their bus is Rashad's safe place - he doesn't like to get in any other vehicle (except Jamie's truck). It has been their literal home in the past when they have been in-between places to live. In addition it allows Crystal to provide care to other children she loves. Sadly it has been in the shop at Butler often recently and the bills are quickly rising. They need as much help as they can get to have safe transportation to allow Crystal to get Rashad to all of his appointments.

Crystal's Message

Thank you so much for all of your help. I am coordinating with Meko, a technician at Butler Automotive, to begin repairs on the bus. As it gets hotter, we will definitely need air conditioning to avoid becoming ill while traveling to our appointments. Thank you again for all of your help in this matter!
