I lost my job back in April of 2025 and was receiving unemployment, but due to an error with my information, my unemployment funds were frozen. Since then, I have had no income and have been struggling to find a babysitter because I simply can’t afford one. I am now behind on rent and other bills, and I feel completely at a loss for what to do. I’ve tried to get help from the state, but because my unemployment is technically still active (even though I’m not receiving any money), I was told I make too much to qualify for assistance. In reality, I have no source of income at all. My son and I are at risk of losing our home and may have to go into a shelter if I can’t figure something out soon.

The funds from this fundraiser will help us keep our home and allow us to live a healthy lifestyle. My biggest fear is that my son won’t have a safe place to live, and I would feel like I’ve failed as a mom if that happened. I want nothing more than to give him a good life and be able to support him, but with so much owed and no income, it’s becoming nearly impossible to keep a roof over our heads. My family has also stopped associating with us, leaving us without any resources or support system. I have now been served a termination of lease and need to figure something out by February 25th.
