We are coming together in support of a devoted wife of 19 years, loving mother to two kids, hard-working creative entrepreneur and a faithful, spiritual woman. 

To know Crystal is to love her. Whether you’ve been to her home for a heart-warming meal, got to experience her phenomenal hospitality, been apart of her online creative community, or been blessed by her generous spirit.

On November 19, 2024, Crystal’s health took a spiral that no one saw coming. What started with the worst headache of her life turned into more symptoms than she can count and she’s been couch bound since then. She has not been able to work, care for herself or her family, cook, drive, clean, or do most daily tasks without assistance.

Over the last year, Crystal was diagnosed with a debilitating condition that can cause over 200 symptoms. She has experienced neurological issues, heart and pulmonary issues, several autoimmune conditions, and dysautonomia/POTS. She has seen many healthcare providers, specialists, and had ER visits. However, none have been able to significantly improve her condition. The journey to reclaim her health has been exhausting – physically, emotionally, and financially. 

Through extensive research and the personal testimonies of several acquaintances, Crystal and her family became aware of a doctor in Lake Charles, Louisiana who is familiar with her conditions and has a high recovery success rate to regain some quality of her life back. Treatments will be continuous and potentially ongoing for months and then will need to be maintained as she improves.

Continuing her treatments has become a challenge. Despite having health insurance, most treatments for her condition are only partially covered or not covered at all. Additionally, Crystal and her family do not reside in the city where her treatments are so the family has experienced a disruption to their daily living and incurred significant ongoing health, living and travel expenses. Challenging times require extraordinary measures, so we come together as family and friends to help Crystal and her family. 

Brandon Holliday (Crystal’s husband), Curtis Morehead (Crystal’s father), and Delores Collins (Crystal’s mother) are organizing this fundraiser. Through this fundraising effort, we are hopeful to be able to provide financial assistance to aid in Crystal’s treatments and help her family in a time of need. Funds will be used for treatments, medical testing, medications or supplements as needed, living expenses away from home, gas/travel related expenses for current and ongoing treatments, and food/meals for the family.
