I am raising money for my little sister Crystal who has Down Syndrome and Pulmonary Hypertension causing right sided heart failure. She is now in need of 24 hour oxygen. This is a diagnosis that was to be medically managed as best as possible for years but over time can still progress despite medical efforts.

Currently she has to carry a heavy oxygen tank through out her day at her day enrichment program for people with disabilities called, "Options" since her insurance considers an oxygen concentrator a "luxury" piece of medical equipment.. This piece of equipment is what this fundraiser is for.

Oxygen concentrators are operated by battery and are not pressurized making easy to travel with. Concentrators with the longest battery life are best but of coarse more expensive.

This is currently what Crystals day looks like , some of her interest and fun facts.

She wakes up at 5:30 am to attend her Options program which she loves and gets upset when she has to miss it. Then she will take my Mom coffee ☕️ in bed waking her by saying "wake up sleeping beauty"

She will then slowly gets ready for the day. This girl has one speed , lol.... you can't rush her. She dresses cute every day and always has to match. Some of her favorite t-shirts have "Princess" on them. And she will tell you that's what she is , lol

She takes her morning meds knowing what each pill is for and always spotting a pill that does not look quite right. Then reminds Mom to take her meds.

She catches your Options bus at 0700 (lifting her heavy O2 tank on bus) and enjoys spend the day with her friends there, probably because they treat her like a princess too.

Her favorite activity there is Zumba . And yes, she has a boyfriend there, but that name changes frequently.

She is a super picky eater, but pizza is on the menu most days. Her pet is a Chaweenie named Sophie and she "babysits" her a lot. Her room is her special place and she does not like it when people come in and move things around. She keeps it neat and puts away her clothes everyday.

Her Birthday is next week, Feb 21 st ( she will be 41) and you guessed it... she wants to go out for pizza at the new pizza place in town.
