Crystal Baker Jackson is a middle-school teacher and mother of two with a huge heart. She found her purpose in education and goes above and beyond to make sure her students hold a sense of belonging within her classroom. She has always stepped up to help others, now it is time for us to help her.

Three years ago, a routine medical test located possible cancer in Crystal's thyroid. After removal of her thyroid in February 2022, tests confirmed the cancer. Unfortunately testing also discovered blood vessels containing cancer cells within the tumor.

After the thyroidectomy, Crystal's tests continued to indicate the cancer was growing or spreading. Despite relentless testing, doctors have been unable to identify the cause or source of the persistent cancer cells.

She has since undergone two rounds of radioactive iodine therapy which were unfortunately unsuccessful in lowering her concerning test numbers.

Recent testing has led her team to believe they may be able to pinpoint a source within her lymph nodes, but this will require additional invasive testing scheduled for March, 2025.

Due to ongoing medical testing and perpetual hospital visits, Crystal has not only stacked up a pile of medical expenses, but also used all over her sick-leave and personal-leave as an educator. With her upcoming testing and treatments scheduled for March, she will be missing work without pay.

The goal of this campaign is to simply allow her to be at ease knowing she will be able to pay her monthly expenses and possibly put a dent in her medical debts.
