Help Crystal Find Her Second Chance

Some dogs spend their lives knowing love. Crystal wasn’t one of them.

Crystal was found alone on the side of a road in Miami after suffering severe trauma. No one knows exactly what happened to her, but someone left her there in unimaginable pain.

When she was rescued, her condition was heartbreaking. One of her eyes was severely damaged beyond saving, and she was suffering from pyometra—a life-threatening infection of the uterus that would have claimed her life if she hadn’t received emergency surgery. She was weak, exhausted, and fighting to survive.

Thanks to Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and an incredible veterinary team, Crystal underwent emergency surgery to save her life and had her damaged eye removed. Tragically, she has since lost vision in her remaining eye and is now completely blind.

Most dogs who have endured so much would have every reason to stop trusting people. Crystal did the opposite.

She still melts into your arms for cuddles. She follows the sound of a kind voice. She gives endless kisses and greets each day with a wagging tail and joyful zoomies that remind us her spirit is still very much alive.

But the emotional scars of her past remain.

Because of the trauma she’s experienced and the challenges of navigating the world without sight, Crystal struggles with anxiety and isn’t comfortable around other animals. She deserves the opportunity to learn that the world can be safe again.

We’re raising funds to send Crystal to a professional trainer who specializes in working with blind and special-needs dogs. Specialized training will help her build confidence, reduce her anxiety, and give her the tools she needs to safely coexist with other animals—making it easier for her to find the loving forever home she deserves.

Crystal has already fought so hard just to stay alive.

Now she needs people who have never met her to believe that her story doesn’t have to end with pain.
