As most of you know, Justin had a terrible accident while at work March 31, 2022. While in a garage attic he fell through, sending him 12 ft down to the cement floor beneath him.
He ended up with a fracture of his L2. He completely obliterated multiple discs and when he was brought into the ER they found his L2 was actually pushing in his spinal cord.
Thankfully they were able to do surgery. 6.5 hours, 6 pins, 2 rods and a fusion later we are on the very long road to recovery. He has drains in on both sides of his back but hopefully once those come out we will get out of the ICU.
Prognosis says it will be 6-12 months for full recovery. While he may qualify for workers comp it is not going to cover all the added expenses that we are going to face.
Justin has been the sole provider for our little family of four (and two fur babies of course) and I know this will leave a dent on our lives.
I’ve had a few asking if we had created a fund so I figured I’d humble myself and admit that it’s going to take a village. ❤️
