Help "Prince" Sausalito Kitty
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
June 23rd, the night of 80 mph winds, one of our neighborhood cats, "Prince," disappeared. He moved to our yard eight years ago, after leaving his home, due to a new puppy. He became part of our special community here on Bulkley and Santa Rosa. Along with the fine dining, he has had a great life here, and we all love him.
We canvassed the neighborhood (with catnip trails), checked the SPCA and asked around. As he refused to be indoors, our greatest concern was the coyote. Then, Friday, the 29th - a Frickin' Miracle... our neighbor found him, on her deck, curled up and barely moving. We rushed him to the emergency in San Rafael. His trauma was caused by a major impact of something falling on him or a car (rarely seen near the street) - surgery was needed to repair his internal injuries.
We shudder to think that it took him a week, with such injuries, to get home. The journey must have been unimaginably painful. We brought him to Sausalito Animal Hospital for his care and surgery. Last Tuesday, he came through the procedure successfully - which included setting a broken pelvis.
The little guy is a fighter and is now home - on the road to recovery. We have since converted him to an indoor cat.
Many have offered to help out, so we are setting up a Go Fund Me account in Prince’s name. The medical costs are more than any one of us can cover. Any and all donations will be most appreciated.
Some may ask why we bother. Although we are a Diverse Group of neighbors, we are in agreement that small acts of healing and kindness multiply. After reading the news, it’s obvious that our world needs more acts of caring and kindness. Prince is a truly sweet-natured animal and well deserving of our care
Sincerely and with Great Gratitude,
Prince's Friends & Family
